Camino Norte Playlist. 27 videos

People often ask me what it is about the Camino that appeals to us. It seems like a tough way to travel they say. While the Camino is not a vacation in the true sense of the word, it is everything a vacation should be. It’s about getting up close and personal with everything a country is – the people, the culture, the history, the language, the food. It is about experiencing a country slowly and completely. It’s about appreciating the little things – a colorful forest, a quirky dog, a delicious local wine, a short chat with a local while speaking two different languages. It’s about simplifying life. It’s about looking, listening, walking, thinking and staying in the moment. It is a spiritual journey as well as a chance for personal reflection and life assessment. It is a personal journey, an adventure and an accomplishment all rolled into one. Yes it’s very tough at times and yes it’s not fun at times, but the good far outweighs the challenging. Aching feet can be instantly forgotten by the glimpse of a breathtaking ocean vista. A feeling of exhaustion can be instantly forgotten by meeting and walking with someone new. Our hope by sharing our adventure is to inspire more people to travel this way. Whether it be on foot, on a bike or on a canoe or kayak, we encourage you to explore the world slowly and completely. #caminonorte #caminodesantiago

Camino Portugues Playlist. 23 videos

AdventuresofGregAndHelen hike the 800 km Camino De Santiago Portugues in 23 days from Lisbon Portugal to Santiago Spain, then to Fisterra and Muxia on the west coast. The “Camino” is the name of any of the pilgrimage routes, known as pilgrim ways, to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain, where tradition has it that the remains of the saint are buried. Many take up this route as a form of spiritual path or retreat for their spiritual growth. Follow Greg and Helen on this incredible 23 day journey as they walk, talk, eat, and drink their way across Portugal and Spain.
